Hand-crafted, hand-embroidered, and hand-assembled, every Rubato timepiece and accessory is collectible that champions pure Indian silks, real leather, and sublime chain embellishments. Evoking a sense of luxury and prompting you to listen and dance to the music of life, each of our collections tell a story. A story that will incline you to measure time in moments stolen.

Five years ago, two girls designed a simple dial and requested a local watch store owner to get 10 samples made from a manufacturer he worked with. “You’re wasting your time. No one wears gold dials anymore.” he said. 

They bought 2 metres silk, 3 sheets of leather and found a local artisan who handcrafted 10 watch straps for them. “Aren’t they too long?” he said. 

They bought 3 kgs of chains from a wholesale market and found an electroplater on JustDial. “We normally don’t do less than 100 kgs.” he said. 

They bought some jewellery tools, beads, links, watch pins, buckles, lobster clasps and after endless trials, hand assembled the first 10 watches in their home basement. 

That day, Rubato was born. 

Today, we continue to celebrate a dream called Rubato that is nourished with love every single day.
